A few weeks ago my friend and I went to Daylesford to pick up some components for her light that had been bent.
This place was absolutely amazing. The machinery, the timber, the veneers. Literally palettes of veneers that were bought 10years ago that feature such veneers like American Cherry even Ebony. Still wrapped in plastic and untouched. Most of the stock is from the 70's so majority of it probably wouldn't be harvested economically or sustainably (sadly old growth...) but hey its there so might as well use it?
Here are some pictures from the visit.
